The Burrow Homestead

The Burrow Homestead started as a family adventure during the height of COVID. What began with the simple goal of raising a few chickens for our kids and enjoying fresh eggs quickly grew into something much more. After a few years, we decided to take a chance and bid on a Highland cow, just for fun. We thought for sure we’d be outbid, but to our surprise, come midnight, we received a message—our new cow would be arriving the next morning!

That unexpected moment sparked a vision for something bigger. Along the way, I developed a deep passion for the Highland breed—their gentle nature and resilience make them a perfect fit for our homestead. Initially, our goal was to provide our family with humanely raised animals and fresh food that we could trust, knowing exactly where it came from and how it was fed. As time went on, we realized that we could extend this to our community, sharing the same quality products that we value for our own family.

Today, while we’re still in the early stages of growth, we’re excited to begin expanding our offerings. Our mission is to provide fresh, ethically raised eggs, produce, and meats for our local community, helping others know and trust where their food comes from, just as we do for our own family.
